In the second quarter of 2019, Xiaomi and Realmi became the top smartphone company in the country. According to research from Countpoint, Redmi Note 7 Pro has become the top selling smartphone. Realmi is the second largest company in a smartphone company with 17% share. Online smartphone sales have grown this year and offline sales have dropped 4%. Shipments of smartphones from online platforms have increased by 25%.
According to Counterpoint Research, the Redmi Note 7 Pro first number with 12.1% share in the list of Top 5 smartphones, Redmi 6A second number with 6.4% share, Realme C2 third number with 5.9% share, Realme 3 with 5.6% share and Redmi with 5% share. Note 7 has achieved the fifth number.
Xiaomi’s market share plummeted:
Xiaomi became the top company in the second quarter of 2019. Compared to the previous year, the company’s market share has declined this year. The company had 55% stake in the second quarter last year. Realme has performed better than last year. Realme’s share was 4% last year, which has increased to 17% this year. Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi 6A and Redmi Note 6 Pro models have helped the company to reach number one.
Flipkart Top E-commerce Company:
With better deals and attractive offers on online sites, users are more likely to buy their smartphones online. Flipkart has won a stake in the e-commerce company. The company has come out on top with 58% share.
